Found Object Art

I totally loved have diane come to our class! Her art is so interesting and I love that it takes normall trash and makes it pretty. I really like making this kind of art and I plan on doing some more. I made two projects during the time we had. Both of them turned out great (not to brag). My first one was the one with the numbers. I orinally had it so you could read the numbers. But then I flipped it because i didn't want the focus to be on the number 20. My second one surprised me alot. I did not expect it to turn out so good. I kindof didnt try as much but I ended up liking it more! The balloon thing on the bigger box is actually from a toilet. gross. but i guess thats why its called found art.

  1. so is your final decision of the orientation of your first project to display it that way? i personally dont have anything againstit the other ways, and i think that you should allow the viewer to focus on the numbers because its something that they will naturally do!anyways, your stuff turned out pretty cool. do you think you'll make more stuff like this for your portfolio?

Great work on the assemblages! Also, I think you should check out this blog: http://joytannerpottery.blogspot.com/ She made some basket forms that I think you would like.

  3. Your numbers piece reminds me of around the world in 80 days. I love it! I like the second piece better without the caribeaner (sp?) :)
